House of Flying Daggers

Saw House of Flying Daggers yesterday. I think it’s not as good as Hero (by same director). Too much love story and the movie doesn’t conclude well. It leaves many questions unanswered: Whatever happened to the ambush? What is the general like? Who is the Flying Daggers leader? It might be done on purpose, or maybe they’ll make a sequel of it (as my friend, Anna, claims so).
Ending argument (SPOILER WARNING!):
However, Anna claims that the two guys were still alive because she thinks there will be a sequel to it.
In another topic, a new Stephen Chow’s movie is coming. It looks too cartoony from the trailer. I find his new movies not so funny compared to his earlier works.
There’s another new foreign movie coming to North America: Dare mo shiranai [Nobody Knows]. It looks quite promising from the trailer.
UPDATE: After reading more about this movie, it seems that it’s a really depressing movie, just like Grave of the Fireflies. Now I don’t really wanna watch it…

Hehe, I’m getting Nobody Knows right now. I’ll tell you what I think, or more about it when I watch it. I don’t want to and haven’t read into much info. I really like the director’s other one, After Life, a lot. It’s depressing (dealing with dead people) but extremely uplifting in the end. Maybe Nobody Knows is like that.
Well I saw House of the Flying Daggers and I thought it was pretty shit rofl. And um.. no.. the chick dies and the other two guys are alive at the end of it if I remember correctly O_o Where did they die?! They just fought eachother until the chick pulled out the dagger to stop them and as she died, the other two stopped and went separate ways….
