Madagascar

Madagascar was an okay movie. You see 50% of the funnies already in the trailers. Not much more to discover in the rest of the movie.
When watching this movie, I can’t help but picture the distinctable character voices as their voice actors instead of the movie characters. Most noticeable ones for me are the giraffe (David Schwimmer) and the zebra (Chris Rock). I imagine the lion is Ben Stiller too a few times, but not as often as those two. Everytime I heard the giraffe’s voice, I had Ross’ image in my head. I think I’d rather see animated characters being voiced by unknown (not so famous) actors, or at least actors who can change their voices slightly to fit the characters they’re playing.
I’ve been noticing that Dreamworks always uses many famous actors to voice in their animated movies, and Pixar uses less. But I find most Pixar movies have better plots than Dreamworks. The only good Dreamworks movie I can remember in the last 2 years is only The Shrek 2. Good actors don’t always guarantee good movies…

Madagascar
Pixar does seem to use fewer big name actors….
I liked it when they were spitting out the sea water. That was awesome.
Hrmm. Since I’m a sound-dumb, I didn’t recognize any of the voice ^^; True, there was not so much special plot, but I enjoyed it as is. I didn’t watch trailers, so maybe that helped.
P.S. I moved my blog to LiveJournal. I now more people there, so it’s easier for me to keep track of. Can you link my blog there, please? Same user name as always.
Pixar uses plenty of famous stars, Sam Jackson, Holly Hunter in The Incredibles. Toy Story was Tom Hanks! And now Cars is coming out with Paul Newman and the Owen Wilson!
You know who should do more animation and is making a comeback? Kelly LeBrock? The woman has an amazing voice and she’s still hot. She’s in a new comedy called “Gamers” that looks like the next Spinal Tap for gamers.
