Just read this story today posted by Typical_SW_Fan on GameFAQs:
R2-D2 was really an Imperial mole
Everyone thinks he was some great robot hero but he wasn’t. He was just a mole working undercover for the Empire. He knew all along who Darth Vader really was, but did he say anything to anyone? No. Why was this? Because he was secretly getting his orders directly from the Sith Lord! (Read more)

Spaceman-Spiff April 12th, 2010

This was shared on “What’s Hot in Google Reader” over the weekend. I pondered why, it was not even funny. But then it hits me: the punchline is a self-referencing joke.
It may not be intentional by Jim Davis (or whoever writes Garfield these days…), but it’s pretty funny cause it’s true.
Life is constantly changing, but Garfield comics has not. It’s been stuck in a loop. In endless cycles of repeated jokes. Therefore, as Garfield says in the last panel, “This must not be life”.
Just end it already, it’s dead!

I don’t really believe in making new year’s resolutions. When my friends or coworkers ask what my new year’s resolution is, I always answer “I got none”. I think it’s pointless. You can make resolutions any time of the year, so why do you have to make one for the new year just because everyone else is doing it? Besides, most people usually quit doing their NY resolutions just weeks after the new year. That’s probably because most of them only have a new year’s resolution for the sake of having one, not because they really resolute.
So, it’s still not that far from the New Year’s Day, hence the title, and I have two resolutions:

The News
Polish newspaper claims ‘Pedobear’ is 2010 Vancouver Olympic mascot
A Polish newspaper mistakenly identified “Pedobear“, a notorious internet meme, as one of the mascots of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

The Gazeta Olsztynska published an image showing the bear alongside genuine Olympic mascots Quatchi, Sumi, Miga and Mukmuk to illustrate a feature about the Games.
It appears that the newspaper lifted the picture from Google Images, unaware that it had been created as a prank by Michael Barrick, a Canadian artist and graphic designer

The History
It all started from this guy’s blog: Michael R. Barrick – New Mascot Added to the Vancouver 2010 Team
Michael photoshopped Pedobear into the Vancouver Mascot team drawing. It’s a pretty good and believeable Photoshop work:

Some of the blog’s visitors also participated and made more photoshopped images and pictures:

I for one, welcome Pedobear as our 4th mascot.
