Penguin Brothers started it's run on February, 2000. It ran on a shoujo magazine called Ribon. The author, Shiina Ayumi, is also the author of her other long hit, Baby Love.

The story involves around a girl name Hina. Her new school, Tokiwa high is none like the other schools she's been at. It has a bit of a weird "tradition". She must choose between the three groups, White, Black and Gray, which she will be a part of. What group will she be in and more over, can she survive from all the bullying at Tokiwa high!?

Shiina Ayumi is the author of Penguin Brothers. Her birthday is on August 29, and her blood type is B. She's from Ehime prefecture and has made her debut on 1987 fall issue of Ribon Original with a story called Namida no message (Message of tears). She is also known for her other works listed below.
